Welcome back to my Happy Album pages. This week, we move forward to May 2024. May is the month when we celebrate my mother's birthday, Nurses Week, and Mother's Day, all within about 7 days. So I usually take my mom on an outing that covers it all (and yes, she gets 3 cards!). That's the photo you see on the left. On the right is the other big celebration that month — our anniversary. One of my NPTC friends arranged for a hardhat tour of Ellis Island. Jim and I joined them, and we celebrated our anniversary sailing past Lady Liberty.
This layout follows the CM Project Recipe for Happy Album kit #17. CM posted a few ideas on using the papers that came with the kit on their blog and also included a short video showing how to create the layout. You can check it out here. I used papers from a different Happy Album Kit. I liked the green tint because it matched the Statue of Liberty. The coral background worked well with my T-shirt on the right and my mom's red shirt on the left. It also helped the dark colors pop a bit in both layouts. A few more sticker and card embellishments helped finish the page.
